
Misha's raisin scones

Ingrédients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup wholewheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (= 1 packet)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine (or oil)
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- pinch of salt
Étapes
- Stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar.
- Add butter or margarine. Mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. (If using oil, skip this line.)
- Make a well, mix eggs and milk in well (and oil if using). Mix with flour mixture.
- Knead lightly just until mixture is smooth.
- Pat into circle about 2 cm thick.
- Cut into 8 equal wedges.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
